The Des Moines Tax Day Tea Party was a huge success. Thousands of Iowans, even ones who were not able to make it to the event, have expressed their desire to see our movement continue- and that is exactly what we are doing!

We see the Des Moines Tax Day Tea Party as just the beginning. The Des Moines Tea Party is in the process of becoming a permanent organization that will fight for low taxes, limited government and liberty for all of our citizens.

To be an effective advocate for limited government, the Des Moines Tea Party will need your help!

The Des Moines Tea Party was a success, drawing a crowd of about 4,000 patriotic Iowans.

Our speakers were outstanding and the crowd was large, loud and energized!

Over 1,200 people signed our petition and there is a groundswell of volunteers and enthusiastic supporters!

But as great as the Tea Party was, it is just the beginning. Our movement is growing across the country and we will keep our momentum going so that we can truly take back America.

We are now only hours from the Des Moines Tax Day Tea Party! We've boarded the ship, got the tea and now it's all hands on deck to make our Tea Party a success!

So what can you do to help?

Bring as many people as you possibly can. Tonight, call as many of your friends and family as you can. Tell them to come to the West side of the Capitol Building tomorrow from 11am - 1pm. Tell them to bring as many people as they can. Tell them to help take back America!

You can now print out flyers to distribute in your neighborhood and share your story of how our over-bearing government has effected you.

The Tea Partiers will be doing a literature drop around the greater Des Moines area on Saturday*. We will provide the flyers and target lists.

The Westside Conservative Club will be meeting on Wednesday at
7:15 AM at the Machine Shed Restaurant
(11151 Hickman Rd., Urbandale).

We will be discussing the Tea Party, plus Iowa House Reps. Jodi Tymeson and Clel Baudler as well as state Sen. Kim Reynolds will be the guest speakers.

The Des Moines Tax Day Tea Party

April 15

10AM - 2 PM

State Capitol Building (West side of the building)

Across America, people will gather on Tax Day in protest of our government's destructive policies. There will be special guests to speak about our shared principles and we will show Washington and our elected officials that there is a vocal majority who opposes Big Government.

To help make the Tea Party a success, we need three things: volunteers, money and people to actually attend the Tea Party.
